Microwaves photonic – UWB (MWP-UWB) centre of HIT. The MWP-UWB team consists of 6 researchers, under the communication department at HIT, that represent complementary skills in microwaves-photonics and UWB technologies.
The group has been active in several national R&D projects in Israel in optical networking (TRANSMORE) and Ultra-wideband technologies (ISRC). The group has extensive collaborative links with international forums, industrial organizations and academies worldwide. Members of the group have strong research presence in the areas of: microwaves-photonics, all optical networking and signal processing, non-linear optics, optical control of microwave devices, broadband wireless communications and Ultra-wideband communications. The group is a regular contributor to international journals and major conferences in these areas. The team of HIT have been developing the wireline-wireless concepts that underline UROOF since early 2004.
